I feel like our group got a personal experience with Tikal thanks to the knowledge Luis shared. Now for the transportation. Guatemala does not let Belize drivers to drive there. So you take a shuttle to the border, walk through, and catch the next shuttle on the Guatemala side. We get over and find our driver, Rudy, only to find out the road up ahead is closed. “The trip starting a little bumpy. The bus was late about 20-25 minutes without a word until 8 something when one of their employees let us know they were running late before returning to his car. When the driver arrived there was no mention of it. A little annoying but not the worst. Fortunately the best part of this trip comes because of Luis. He was an incredibly knowledgeable, passionate, and charismatic guide. I 100% recommend him as your tour guide. He made everything so much fun and even pointed us towards some amazing food!”

We were able to see spider monkeys, a toucan, and coatimundi along the way. Mariela answered all of our questions and was very friendly. Great day!”
